Olympique de Marseille have confirmed the signing of Jonathan Rowe (21) from Norwich City on a loan deal with an obligation to buy for an unconfirmed fee that has been widely reported to be around €15 million with add-ons included.
The left winger had been a key target as the club look to improve their attacking rotation and provide Luis Henrique (22) with some needed competition on the left of the attack. Rowe had a breakout season last year for his formative club where he made 32 appearances scoring 12 and assisting twice as Norwich narrowly missed out on a return to the Premier League.
Jonathan Rowe becomes latest player to join Marseille from England
It’s been an active summer for Marseille as they’ve looked to completely reshape their squad, and this has seen the French side rely heavily on the English market. Rowe joins Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (29), Mason Greenwood (22), and Ismaël Koné (22) in arriving from a Premier League or Championship team.
