Rennes have officially appointed Franck Haise as their new head coach. The former RC Lens and OGC Nice manager was the favorite candidate to replace Habib Beye, who has been dismissed last week. Rennes have started a “procedure” against Beye following a run of poor results and various flashpoints with some of Rennes’ senior players, including France international goalkeeper Brice Samba. Beye is expected to succeed Roberto De Zerbi in the Marseille dugout.
As for Rennes, they have acted swiftly to secure the services of Haise, who was a free agent following the end of his tenure as OGC Nice manager last December. Haise has agreed to sign a contract with Rennes until the end of the 2026-2027 season. He has overseen his first training session this morning. The 54-year-old makes his return in Rennes after coaching the youth teams from 2006 to 2012.
