Fiorentina have officially announced the signing of Dodô from Shakhtar Donetsk. The Brazilian right-back is ready to don the prestigious purple jersey from the 2022/23 season.
Fiorentina have reportedly signed the 23-year-old Brazilian for a fixed part of €14.5 million plus €3.5 million bonuses. The total amount of the deal is expected to be around €18 million.
The player has signed a five-year contract with La Viola until June 2027. Reliable reports suggest that he will be earning a salary of around €1.5 million plus bonuses.
Last summer, Fiorentina signed Alvaro Odriozola on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid. But with the Spaniard’s loan spell in Florence expiring at the end of the 2021/22 campaign, the 26-year-old returned to the Spanish capital earlier this summer.
Domilson Cordeiro dos Santos, popularly known as Dodô, could be a fitting replacement for Odriozola.
Vincenzo Italiano will also be satisfied with the signing of this younger full-back, who could hone his skills under the stewardship of the Italian gaffer.
