TSG Hoffenheim have announced the signing of Mergim Berisha, who joins the club on a permanent deal from Augsburg.

The 25-year-old striker has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with ‘Die Kraichgauer’.

“Mërgim has proven that he is always capable of scoring goals against any opponent, and not just during his time with Augsburg in the Bundesliga,” said Hoffenheim managing director for sport Alexander Rosen.

“He is extremely difficult to defend against and in addition to his physical presence, he also brings a high level of efficiency in front of goal. A quality that will help us as a team that has been consistently creating a lot of chances for years.”

Berisha commented:

“TSG is an interesting club with an exciting team and I want to contribute to tehir successful development. The conditions to perform at your best are simply ideal here

“The conditions that have been created here have already been used by many players to make a leap in performance. I’m going to work hard on that, too, because in the end I’m helping the team and the club.”
