17-year-old Adelaide United attacker Nestory Irankunda has agreed to join Bayern Munich.

FC Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Australian youngster Nestory Irankunda.

The 17-year-old attacker, who turns 18 in February, will join the German champions from Adelaide United next summer on a long-term deal.

“We have had Nestory on our radar for some time and are delighted to have reached an agreement with him and Adelaide United to bring him to Munich next summer,” said FC Bayern campus director Jochen Sauer.

“We would like to thank the people at United for the consistently good talks. Nestory is an extremely fast fullback with great dribbling ability and pace. We are convinced of his potential and that he will take the next steps with us.

Despite his young age, Irankunda has made 39 appearances for Adelaide United, scoring nine goals and providing two assists.

He has also been capped seven times by the Australian U-17 team, scoring 17 goals.
