A highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Tuesday sealed a temporary exit from the club.
The player in question? Marvel.
Defender Marvel was last week heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, with some outlets having gone as far as to suggest that a deal to send the 21-year-old to the Middle East was all but complete.
This, however, will not prove to be the case.
Whilst Marvel will be plying his trade away from Madrid for the 2024/25 campaign, as much will not come in the Middle East.
Instead, the Spanish youth international has agreed to line out in the country’s 2nd division, with Córdoba.
As per a statement across Córdoba’s website and social media platforms on Tuesday evening:
‘Córdoba Club de Fútbol is pleased to announce the signing of Marvel as a new player for the club. The player arrives on loan from Real Madrid.’
