Serbian striker Andrej Ilic (23) has signed for LOSC Lille from Norwegian outfit Valarenga on a four-and-a-half-year contract, reports L’Équipe.
The transfer fee amounts to 3.75M€ excluding bonuses, as well as a 10% sell-on clause on an eventual resale. The Serbian striker arrived in Norway last summer and scored nine goals in 13 games for Valarenga, having joined from Latvian side RFS.
Ilic has made six appearances for Serbia U21s, having made his debut back in 2021 whilst still in Serbia.
A center-forward has also been a priority for Lille, with Paulo Fonseca identifying a need to add some strength and depth in the position. Ilic’s arrival will be the second attacking arrival of this window after the Portuguese striker Tiago Morais arrived on a reported 3M€ deal from Boavista, signing a deal that runs until the summer of 2028.
Lille host Clermont Foot on Sunday afternoon, kick-off 3:00 pm CET.
