Sky Germany reports that several Premier League sides are interested in Nürnberg’s on-loan striker Stefan Tzimas, who the club plans to sign permanently in the summer.
Nürnberg plans to activate the €18m buy option then immediately sell him on for a profit of €3-5m. Chelsea, Aston Villa and Newcastle are all said to be interested in the 18-year-old who has scored seven times for Die Club this season. The sale of Tzimas would smash Nürnberg’s record sale which. is currently held by Can Uzun after he joined Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer for €11m.
VfB Stuttgart were also said to be interested in Tzimas but the above price of around €21-23m will likely be too much for them, considering they spent €47m on Deniz Undav and Ermedin Demirovic last summer, and Nick Woltemade is also finally performing at the MHP Arena.
During his likely one season in Bavaria, Tzimas will have learnt from one of Germany’s best strikers as Miroslav Klose is currently the head coach of Nürnberg, who sit 13th in the 2.Bundesliga.
