RB Leipzig have already found their replacement for Konrad Laimer who is set to join Bayern Munich, in Red Bull Salzburg’s Nicolas Seiwald, reports the Leipziger Volkszeitung.
Seiwald will reportedly join Leipzig in the summer. Leipzig had previously tried to sign Seiwald from Salzburg last summer but the Austrians put a stop to the deal. The 21-year-old currently has a contract at Salzburg until 2026 after signing an extension back in the summer.
The midfielder has played 29 times for Salzburg this season scoring twice and assisting twice as well. The 21-year-old is a like-for-like replacement for Laimer and would likely play next to Xaver Schlager.
When the deal is completed it will be the 20th transfer between Leipzig and Salzburg. Other transfers between the clubs include the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai, Dayot Upamecano, Naby Keïta and the incoming Benjamin Šeško.
Laimer is set to join Bayern in the summer as his contract at Leipzig expires in the summer.
