Last night Athletic Club were held to a 0-0 draw by Osasuna at San Mamés. The result means that Los Leones find themselves just outside the European places in La Liga.
In his post-match interview that appeared on Marca, Nico Williams expressed his disappointment with his performance:
“I have to be better because I didn’t have the success I had on other days. Hopefully on other days it will be better. I think I’m doing things well but I know I have to keep working to get the goals. What I want is to help the team. The whole group contributes to helping the team. I accept the role I have in the team and I work to increase my numbers and those of the team.”
Athletic Club travel to San Sebastián (Donostia) to face rivals Real Sociedad next weekend. Williams believes that it will be a tough game:
“The Anoeta derby is going to be very beautiful because we are both going to die. It’s a direct duel. We’ll go all out and we hope to take the three points.”
