Borussia Mönchengladbach winger Nathan Ngoumou is set to represent Cameroon at international level.
The 24-year-old has represented his birth country of France at both Under-19 and Under-21 level, but has now opted to play for his father’s home country instead, the Cameroon Football Association has confirmed.
Because of his mother’s roots, Ngoumou is also eligible to play for Gabon.
The 24-year-old could make his Cameroon debut against Eswatini on 19 March.
He has scored two goals and provided one assist in 18 appearances for Gladbach this season.
