SC Freiburg have confirmed another unfortunate major injury set-back for German-Ghanaian attacking midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh.
Twenty-eight-year-old SC Freiburg attacker Daniel-Kofi Kyereh is likely out for the season after undergoing surgery for a renewed ACL rupture in his knee. The former FC St. Pauli star already missed the entirety of last season due to the very same injury. Kyereh last featured for the Breisgauer in a round 19 fixture against Dortmund in February of 2023.
Kyereh moved to Freiburg from FC St. Pauli for €4.5 million in the summer of 2022 and showed flashes of his talent with three goals in 18 competitive matches. The unfortunate latest injury setback threatens not only his season, but his career. Kyereh scored a total of 58 goals for St.Pauli, SV Wehen Wiesbaden, and TSV Hovels in the German lower divisions.
