Neuer will be fit to start against Leverkusen, report claims

Manuel Neuer will reportedly be fit in time for Bayern Munich’s crunch clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern Munich captain Manuel Neuer is set to return in goal for Saturday’s clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

That’s according to Munich-based publication AZ, who reports that the 38-year-old will shake off an injury to start the game at the Allianz Arena.

Neuer was forced off at half-time of Bayern Munich’s 9-2 win over Dinamo Zagreb last week with a thigh problem.

He then missed Saturday’s 5-0 win over Werder Bremen, with Sven Ulreich starting in his absence.

Bayern go into Saturday’s game three points clear of the German champions, who are second.
