Manuel Neuer is making progress in his recovery from the broken leg he suffered in a skiing accident in December.
According to Sky Germany, the Bayern Munich captain could return to on-field goalkeeping training in two to three weeks.
When he returns, Neuer will face competition from Yann Sommer, who has been in goal for Bayern since January after being signed from Gladbach to fill in for the injured captain.
Bayern also have Alexander Nübel, who will return from a two-year loan spell at Monaco, and Sven Ulreich in the goalkeeping department.
