
Manuel Neuer believes Bayern Munich’s discipline was the key to their victory over Arsenal.
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was visibly relieved after his side booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals with a 1-0 win over Arsenal on Wednesday night, winning 3-2 on aggregate.
“It feels good. We put in a very good performance,” Neuer told DAZN.
“We gave them very little. That discipline was the deciding factor today,” he added.
The Bayern captain also thanked the Bayern fans for creating a special atmosphere at the Allianz Arena.
“These are special games, special nights at the Allianz Arena,” said Neuer.
“We really needed the fans tonight, and they were there.”
