Manuel Neuer and Jamal Musiala are battling against time to be fit for Bayern München’s crunch clash with Freiburg on Sunday.
Neuer is still struggling with the shoulder injury that kept him out of the mid-week win over Viktoria Plzen and was unable to train today.
Jamal Musiala, who missed the Plzen game due to COVID-19, was not in training today either and is in danger of missing out again too.
On the bright side for Bayern, Matthijs de Ligt, Alphonso Davies, Thomas Müller and Serge Gnabry all look fit to play against Freiburg after shaking off injuries.
In addition, Lucas Hernandez took an important step forward in his recovery from the muscle injury that has kept him out mid-September as he returned to running training today.
