Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski would be interested in Lazio switch

Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski would be interested in reuniting with Maurizio Sarri at Lazio, if he is offered the chance to move to the Biancocelesti.

Daniele Longo has reported that Lazio are sure that Sergej Milinković-Savić will leave in the summer and they do not want to be caught unprepared. They know that he is not signing a new deal, which means that selling him in the summer is a priority, with his agent Mateja Kezman keen on bringing forth an offer of a minimum of €40 million for Claudio Lotito.

Lazio are already working on the possibility of signing replacements and one of the players who can come in is Zielinski. Maurizio Sarri worked with the Polish midfielder at Empoli during their early days. The Italian has informed Zielinski that he sees him as a target, with the midfielder open to a move and he has given positive signals to a potential transfer.

He is still speaking to Napoli regarding a contract renewal but Napoli’s Scudetto win and Lazio’s qualification for the Champions League could help in making sure that he moves to the Roman outfit. No talks with Lazio are on yet, with there being a difference between what Napoli are offering and what Zielinski wants in his new deal.
