Napoli’s Leonardo Spinazzola hails Scott McTominay: “We are lucky to have him”

Serie A giants Napoli picked up a 2-0 win over Torino and the result could prove massive in the context of the title race.

Inter had lost to Roma earlier in the day and Napoli’s win puts them at the top of the Serie A table, with four games remaining in the season.

The Partenopei rode on Scott McTominay’s first half brace to grab all three points and the midfielder was the man of the match. Leonardo Spinazzola, who had also featured in the game, spoke to DAZN about the tie and he had special praise for McTominay and his presence at Napoli.

He said, via CN24: “McTominay? He is a player you can see on the pitch, a golden boy, he is an incredible worker: we are lucky to have him with us.”

When asked about why Napoli deserve to win the Scudetto, the Italian stated: “Why do we deserve the Scudetto? We deserve it because we are working with great dedication, it is normal to believe in it. Only we know how much we sweated and worked to get here.”

McTominay’s goals have been very valuable this season but there is still time left for the title to be handed. Napoli will certainly be helped by an easier fixture schedule but Inter’s experience can come in handy.
