The agent of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is already said to be working on a Premier League switch for the striker despite the player having signed a new deal recently.
Osimhen’s new deal has a release clause worth €130 million and it proved to be a crucial point of discussion in the talks for the contract. Il Mattino (via CalcioNapoli24) though, have stated that the new contract doesn’t mean that Osimhen will stay at the Partenopei in the longer term.
They report that the feeling currently is that Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda is already looking at the Premier League as the player’s next destination and he is already working to do that. Chelsea are currently in pole position to sign the 24-year-old and Calenda’s intention is to make sure that the player plays in the Premier League next season. Arsenal have already been linked with the ex-Lille man in recent weeks.
The price of the release clause is something that is considered a fair one for both parties and while Aurelio de Laurentiis did reject a huge offer from Saudi Arabia in the summer, he will be content if the €130 million clause is paid by any club.
