Napoli see Leo Skiri Østigård as a future heir to Kalidou Koulibaly, but the club needs some quick fixes should the defender leave the club this summer.
Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TuttoMercatoWeb) reports that Napoli are monitoring Feyenoord’s Marcos Nicolás Senesi as a suitable replacement for Koulibaly.
The report understands that Aurelio De Laurentiis and his collaborators have been keeping tabs on the Argentinian for one year and rate the defender highly.
But signing him would not be an easy task for the Naples faithful this summer, with Roma and other European clubs also understood to be a keen admirer of the centre-back. Another player that interests the managers at Napoli is Fenerbahçe’s Kim Min-jae.
The 25-year-old is a South Korean international and has a contract at the Turkish club until June 2025, while Senesi’s contract at the Dutch club expires in June 2023.
Koulibaly is bound to Napoli’s terms until June 2023. But, with the Italian club having failed to reach an agreement over a contract extension, he could be sold this summer to avoid the possibility of losing the superstar for free in the next one.
