Serie A giants Napoli have made new contact to potentially land Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini but there doesn’t seem to be a decisive opening yet.
The Partenopei have been linked with multiple names this month as they look to hire a new permanent boss. Antonio Conte and Stefano Pioli are two names linked with the role but it seems as if Gasperini is also firmly in the fray.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Gasperini is indeed a key target for the role and Napoli have made new contact for the Italian’s potential signature. It seems as if club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis is very keen on waiting to hire Gasperini and for his decision regarding his future.
Other candidates are Conte, Pioli and even current Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano, who is expected to leave the club in the summer.
Rumours about Conte continue to swirl and there is talk of the fact that contact has been made for the Italian.
