Prior to materializing a move to Saudi side Al Ahli, Napoli forward Victor Osimhen is prioritizing talks with Chelsea as he favours a move to the Premier League.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Partenopei have reached an agreement with the Saudi outfits on a transfer fee of roughly €65m for the 25-year-old want-away.
The Nigerian international has opened up to a move to Saudi Arabia as both parties have reached agreement on a four-year contract worth €30m per-season, which would also include a release clause in the event that the clinical goal-scorer seeks a return to Europe.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport indicates that prior to making the transfer to Al Ahli official, Osimhen and his agent are set to hold negotiations with Chelsea first as he prefers a stay in Europe.
Whilst Napoli and the London Blues have a agreed on a fee regarding a permanent transfer around €70m, which is in line with Al Ahli, the Nigerian hit-man seeks an improved salary from Chelsea in comparison to their previous proposal, considering his contract of €10m per-season.
With time thinning out, it remains to be seen whether Osimhen will head to Chelsea or embark on a new journey in Saudi, as the Napoli star is most certainly set to depart the Azzurri prior to the closure of the summer mercato.
