Napoli are weighing up a move for Sassuolo winger Armand Lauriente, according to Calciomercato.
I Partenopei have monitored him for some time and could reignite their interest in the current winter window.
Lauriente’s agent, Roberto Meloni, has previously spoken about his client’s desire to move to a bigger club, touting Napoli as a potential destination back in February 2025.
The Frenchman has 18 months left on his current deal, and with no extension talks on the horizon, Sassuolo are expected to entertain offers.
Lauriente was close to joining Premier League side Sunderland last summer before the move collapsed.
While his return of three goals and three assists in 22 outings this season is unspectacular, the 27-year-old’s pace, trickery and versatility across the front line make him an attractive option for a Napoli side that have recently bade farewell to Lorenzo Lucca and Noa Lang.
Napoli have already agreed a €20 million deal to sign Giovane from Hellas Verona, but could look to add further attacking depth.
After picking up four straight victories either side of the new year, Antonio Conte’s men have won just one of their last five matches across all competitions, leaving them third in the Serie A table, nine points behind league leaders Inter Milan.
The reigning Italian champions are set for arguably their biggest week of the season, with Sunday’s mammoth clash at Juventus preceding a must-win Champions League clash against Chelsea.
Napoli will hope fit-again Romelu Lukaku hits the ground running on his return from injury after a lengthy absence.
