Roma have made an effort to land the services of Ola Solbakken this summer, but Napoli are making a swift entry into the race devoid of a clear favourite.
According to Il Mattino, Napoli have offered Ola Solbakken a five-year contract and are currently waiting for an answer from the player.
The Norweigian’s contract with Bodø/Glimt expires in June 2022, making the Partenopei believe that they could secure the winger’s signing in the summer for a transfer fee of around €2.5 million.
The player has been reportedly dealing with Roma for some time now. But having received the offer from Napoli, he is ready to avoid the calls of Jose Mourinho’s side, owing to the bitter memories linked with those two Europa Conference League knock-out ties.
In all, Napoli interest the player, and vice versa. The offer to Solbakken also means that Matteo Politano is closing in on a departure from Naples. Valencia, led by Gennaro Gattuso, is currently leading the queue for the 28-year-old Italy international.
