Reigning Serie A Champions Napoli could have a possible meeting with former Tottenham and Inter boss Antonio Conte today.
Radio Marte (via CalcioNapoli24) have reported that club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis is currently in Rome to potentially speak to Conte about the managerial role at Napoli and the scenario is quickly developing. De Laurentiis has already decided that he will sack Rudi Garcia – as echoed by Il Mattino earlier today.
An agreement with Conte is yet to be reached but a meeting between De Laurentiis and Conte could sort a potential agreement. It is stated that a phonecall could have taken place after Napoli’s game against Lazio some weeks ago and it was a preliminary contact between the two and the situation could soon evolve.
Garcia will take Napoli training today and there is a possibility that De Laurentiis could propose a mutual termination of his contract at the club. He has already landed in the city, after spending a couple of days in France.
