Barcelona star Jules Koundé has late tonight spoken out on his costly error, en route to the club’s stalemate with Celta Vigo.
This comes amid a heavy backlash being directed at the Frenchman by way of fans and the media alike.
Hansi Flick’s troops of course marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to the aforementioned Celta Vigo for a La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, Barcelona were forced to make do with a share of the spoils, after surrendering a two-goal advantage inside the game’s closing ten minutes.
In no small part to blame for as much was the aforementioned Jules Koundé, who needlessly surrendered possession to open the door for Celta’s first of the evening.
And, speaking to the media post-match, the defender was not shy in taking responsibility for his error.
During an interview with DAZN, in quotes relaid by Barca insider Toni Juanmarti, Koundé explained:
“I didn’t have a good match from the start. A lack of concentration and you pay dearly for it. Mine was a gross mistake.
“I accept it. Partly, it was my fault that we drew the match.”
