Munir eyes possible Ligue 1 move despite offer from MLS

Sevilla forward Munir-El-Haddadi prefers to remain in Europe despite an offer from Los Angeles FC in the MLS, as per AS via Foot Mercato.

Sevilla are looking to offload the player, who has fallen down the pecking order under Julen Lopetegui. His salary is one of the obstacles but that is expected to be overcome. That said, the source understands that the Moroccan international has rejected an offer from Los Angeles FC. The MLS side have offered €4 million. The player though prefers to continue in Europe, with his sights set on a stint in Ligue 1.

Munir wants to make it to Qatar later this year to help Morocco at the World Cup. But, for that, he needs a team where he can play. Last season, Munir managed to net just three goals from 25 appearances in all competitions and therefore it is fair to say that he is not a key figure in Lopetegui’s team going forward.

Sevilla are hoping that the 26-year-old accepts one of the offers that have been presented to him. Having failed to secure himself a team last season, he could be on his way out this time around.
