Germany forward Thomas Müller praised Niclas Füllkrug as he shared his thoughts on tonight’s 1-1 draw with Spain.
Thomas Müller lavished praise on Niclas Füllkrug after the Werder Bremen forward came on to salvage a 1-1 draw for Germany against Spain in tonight’s World Cup game.
“‘Fülle’ did really well after coming on. That’s what he’s here for. He has great confidence and a proper right foot,” Müller told reporters after the game.
“The 1-1 draw feels good. We played against a very good Spanish team here and did all we could. You could see everything in the team’s face that always talked about: Will, team spirit and so on.
“We remain in a situation where we can go through. We would have liked to win, but we can’t do more than give everything we’ve got. We now have to beat Costa Rica and hope for the result we need in the other game.”
