Maghnes Akliouche (23) after two consistent seasons at the top level for his formative club, is expected to leave AS Monaco in the summer. However, as the Principality club’s CEO, Thiago Scuro, told Téléfoot, it won’t be easy to pry the playmaker away from the club.
Akliouche was the subject of interest from Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain last summer, however, he opted to not only remain with Monaco, but also sign a contract extension. There is, nonetheless, a feeling that the France youth international will make the move this summer, as is the wider strategy at the Principality club.
PSG remain interested and Akliouche has described Les Parisiens’ prolonged interest as “flattering”, however, it won’t be easy to sign the playmaker. “It is logical that clubs are interested in him,” began Scuro in an interview with Téléfoot. “He is a Monaco player and it won’t be easy to take him out of here,” he added.
Akliouche’s current deal with Monaco runs until 2028 and given his performances, he will garner a considerable fee, especially if he becomes a France international in the meantime.
