Mohamed Amoura, one of VfL Wolfsburg’s key attacking players, is reportedly causing tension within the squad.
According to Sport Bild, the 25-year-old forward is increasingly clashing with teammates and head coach Daniel Bauer, with disagreements over playing style and his high expectations of his fellow players cited as some of the key reasons.
Language barriers are said to be playing a role, with Amoura’s limited English and lack of German causing problems.
Amoura was left out of Wolfsburg’s squad for their 1-0 defeat to 1. FC Köln at the end of January. According to the report, the decision was made because he ended a training session on his own after being placed in the B team during a practive match.
The Algerian international also made headlines for the wrong reasons last spring, when he was involved in a training-ground scuffle with teammate Joakim Mæhle.
