FC Köln’s Anthony Modeste and Gladbach’s Marcus Thuram have been added to the list of potential replacements for Sebastien Haller at Borussia Dortmund.

With Haller currently sidelined due to a potentially cancerous tumor, Dortmund are looking for players, who can come in to replace the French forward on a short-term basis.

According to Sport Bild, Anthony Modeste has been offered to BVB. However, it’s very doubtful that Dortmund will sign the 34-year-old, as he’s demanding a two-year deal – the exact same reason why he hasn’t been able to agree a contract extension beyond 2023 with Köln.

Marcus Thuram is also understood to be an option, with Sport Bild claiming that there has been “loose contact” between the Gladbach striker and Dortmund.

Gladbach would prefer to keep Thuram, however, and it would take an offer of at least €10 million to prize the Frenchman away from Borussia-Park with one year left on his contract.
