Amidst interest from Manchester United, Serie A giants Milan have now made a new offer for Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana.
Daniele Longo has reported that after Milan’s first offer of €12 million was deemed low, they have now made a new offer. They have now put forward €14 million and bonuses and are now waiting for Monaco’s response, which is likely to arrive in the next couple of days.
The feeling is that Milan are very close to signing the player as an agreement over personal terms already exists. Attempts by United and Atletico Madrid have been made, but the Rossoneri are close because Monaco seem happy with the fixed figure of €14 million on offer and an agreement over the fixed figure already exists. Negotiations will take place about the bonuses depending on how Monaco respond to the offer.
As of now, Fofana is not listening to any other offers and he is very keen on joining the club. Gerry Cardinale’s trip to Milan has proved key in Milan making this decisive move for the Frenchman.
