Olivier Giroud is once again playing a big role for Milan this season, so much so that the Rossoneri are looking to extend the contract of the French striker.
Giroud’s current deal with Milan expires in 2023, but according to Sky Sport, Maldini and Massara have decided to meet with Giroud’s entourage in January instead of next spring. Altough both the striker and Milanese club have the will to continue, an agreement has not been found as of yet. The idea is to extend the contract for one more year, from 2023 to 2024.
This season, Giroud has continued to showcase his class for Milan. The Frenchman scored 5 goals in Serie A and 4 in the Champions League. He has also impressed at the World Cup, where he found the net 4 times for France. He was vital for the Rossoneri last season and played a key role in helping them win the Scudetto.
