Italian side Milan are working on a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Sardar Azmoun.
According to Kicker, Azmoun (28) could leave Die Werkself and has attracted interest from Milan. Contrary to reports, Bild also report that Azmoun has already reached an agreement with the Rossoneri and is desperate to join the 2021/22 Serie A champions. The signing of Victor Boniface, who started against RB Leipzig on Saturday afternoon, is likely to have an impact on Azmoun’s playing time, which is already minimal having started just 6 times in 18 Bundesliga games under Xabi Alonso.
Kicker further suggest that Milan want to sell Divock Origi before committing to Azmoun.
However, Milan aren’t the only club interested in signing Azmoun. Zenit St. Petersburg want to bring their former striker back to the club, and are ready to pay a reported €5m fee to sign the Iranian.
Signed in January 2022, Azmoun has scored 5 and created 5 in 44 games across all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen.
