Thomas Meunier has confirmed that he no longer has an agent and that he therefore represents himself as things stand.
The reason is that his long-term agent, Jacques Liechtenstein, wants to withdraw from the consulting business.
“It’s true that I’m now representing myself,” Meunier confirmed to Sport1.
“I don’t think it’s unusual. I’ve been in the football business for a long time and, after all these years, I know the people in charge at all the big clubs. I have all the contacts.
“If at some point it might be that I need a new challenge, I can call the clubs myself and sort things out.”
The Belgian right-back has been linked with a move to Barcelona, but insists he has no plans to leave Dortmund at the moment.
“I still have a year and a half left on my contract at BVB. This is a big club with which I still have a lot to do,” he emphasized.
