Juventus manager Max Allegri is set to stay on as the club’s manager despite the loss to Maccabi Haifa.
The Bianconeri lost 2-0 to Maccabi Haifa on Tuesday and they are now in a lurch to even make it to the UEFA Europa League, because they have won just once in four Champions League games. Their remaining games will see them take on Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite the ongoing crisis, Andrea Agnelli has confirmed that the Italian will stay on as the club’s manager for the time being.
The club’s chairman told Sky (via TMW): “I speak of the group, it cannot be the fault of the coach if we do not win a fight Allegri is the Juventus coach and he will remain Juventus coach. A group must have the ability to rediscover identity and put back on the pitch the qualities that this squad has.”
Agnelli was also asked about whether he believes that there are enough leaders in the current squad and he stated that he does think the squad has leaders, but the ongoing period is quite a negative one. He stated that the side has to win a string of matches to get their morale back up.
