The Road to WrestleMania makes its next stop at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. On March 1st, the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, will host one of WWE’s most brutal and career-defining nights. For the fourth straight year, the PLE takes place outside the United States. Officially billed as Elimination Chamber: Toronto, this year’s event marks the second time in three years that Canada will welcome the chaos.
With WrestleMania on the horizon, the stakes couldn’t be any higher. The 2025 Royal Rumble winners, Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair, have already punched their tickets to the Grandest Stage of Them All and have chosen the champions they will challenge. Uso will try to finally conquer Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship, while The Queen has chosen to face WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.
For others, including John Cena, the Elimination Chamber will be their last chance to secure a championship opportunity at WrestleMania 41. The Men’s and Women’s Elimination Chamber matches will determine who will earn a title shot at the Show of Shows.
UK Start Time
12am GMT
UK fans have been enjoying an earlier PLE start time since October. Bad Blood, Survivor Series: WarGames, and the Royal Rumble all began at 6PM ET (11PM GMT). But that won’t be the case for the Elimination Chamber. Unlike the previous three WWE
PLEs, Elimination Chamber 2025 will have a start time of 7PM ET, which means UK fans will have to wait until the clock strikes 12 midnight and the calendar flips to March 2nd. It’s been a while since this has been the case. The last PLE that began at 7PM was WWE SummerSlam. UK fans will likely have to stay up until 3:30AM to 4AM to find out who will challenge the Women’s World Champion and the Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania.

Men’s Elimination Chamber Match
The Men’s Elimination Chamber match will likely be the main event on the March 1st PLE. A lot will be on the line in this year’s Men’s Elimination Chamber. Apart from getting the opportunity to challenge Cody Rhodes for the top prize in the industry, each individual has their own agendas to accomplish on their respective Roads to WrestleMania.
After falling just short to Jey Uso in the Royal Rumble, John Cena confirmed that he would compete in the brutal steel structure for the final time in his career. Billed as “John Cena’s Final Time in Toronto,” this is the 16-time WWE Champion’s last shot at earning an opportunity to win his 17th world title at WrestleMania.
For other superstars, however, they needed to earn their spots in the Chamber by winning qualifying matches. CM Punk joined his former rival and punched his ticket to Toronto by defeating Sami Zayn in the first RAW episode after the Royal Rumble. Drew McIntyre followed the same week on SmackDown by taking down LA Knight and Jimmy Uso in a Triple Threat Match.
The next Monday on RAW, Logan Paul defeated Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio to qualify for his second consecutive Elimination Chamber appearance. On the following SmackDown, Damian Priest managed to survive a behemoth battle against Jacob Fatu and Braun Strowman. Finally, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins booked the final spot in the match by beating Finn Balor on the February 17th edition of RAW.
Women’s Elimination Chamber Match
As for the Women’s Elimination Chamber, the winner of the match will face the Women’s World Champion at the Grandest Stage of Them All. However, the champion heading into WrestleMania is still up in the air as Rhea Ripley will defend the title against Iyo Sky on the RAW episode after the Chamber.
Liv Morgan secured the first spot in the brutal steel structure after defeating Iyo Sky by disqualification, following an attack by Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley, who unintentionally caused Sky’s disqualification. In the same week on SmackDown, recent returnee Alexa Bliss punched her ticket to Toronto by beating Candace LeRae. Likewise, Bianca Belair took care of business against Piper Niven.
Three nights later, Bayley defeated Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria to enter her third Elimination Chamber match. Naomi then defeated Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green later in the week on SmackDown to join her tag team partner. Finally, after making history at the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, two-time NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez booked the final spot in Toronto after taking down Raquel Rodriguez on RAW.
Trish Stratus and Tiffany Stratton vs. Nia Jax and Candace LeRae
Just eight months ago, Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus had a tense backstage confrontation—coincidentally in Toronto—after Stratton won her Money In The Bank briefcase. Now, they will be stepping in the ring together for Stratus’ first match back in her hometown since 2006.
This match was made official on the February 14th episode of SmackDown after Stratus volunteered to team up with Tiffany Stratton to settle a score against Nia Jax and Candace LeRae. Jax and LeRae both had the last laugh on Stratus and Stratton earlier in the evening. After Stratton retained her title against Jax, the champion was on the receiving end of a post-match attack by the Irresistable Force and her new protégé, LeRae. Stratus, who attended the show and witnessed the double team unfold, tried to make the save. However, Jax eventually flattened the seven-time Women’s Champion.
Moments later, Stratton was being interviewed backstage. Stratus then showed up and asked the WWE Women’s Champion if she wanted to exact revenge on Jax and LeRae at Elimination Chamber, to which Stratton excitedly obliged.
Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
Last but not least, another chapter of the Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn saga will appropriately unfold in their home country of Canada. Ever since Owens crashed out on Cody Rhodes for teaming up with Roman Reigns, many fans have speculated when he will eventually go after his best friend, who also did the same.
It appeared, however, that Owens let Zayn off the hook, provided that his former tag team partner helped him in his Undisputed WWE Championship ladder match against Rhodes at the Royal Rumble. However, The Prizefighter was beaten to a bloody pulp at the hands of The American Nightmare. Though Zayn went to ringside to look after Owens, he did not interfere in the match as Rhodes retained his title. This wound up being the straw that broke the camel’s back for Owens.
Just a couple of days later, after Zayn lost to CM Punk in the main event, a hobbled Owens appeared and dropped his former best friend on his head with a package piledriver. Later in the week on SmackDown, Owens explained why he did what he did.
You stood there and watched while Cody tried to end my career… And you stood there and did nothing… Later on, I watched the Royal Rumble match and what do I see? But you, coming to the aid of Roman Reigns… But for me, you did nothing.
Zayn has been out of action since with a neck injury as a result of the piledriver. Nonetheless, that didn’t stop Owens from urging him to settle this once and for all—fittingly in their home country at the Elimination Chamber. Despite not being medically cleared, Zayn appeared this week on RAW and demanded Adam Pearce to make the match official. The RAW general manager initially refused. But after an impassioned plea from the Montreal native, Pearce relented and made it an Unsanctioned Match.
