Bild report that 29-year-old central-defender Martin Hinteregger is now expected to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt.
There had been suggestions that the Austrian would be allowed to leave the club should they receive a suitable offer due to the financial hit during the Covid-19 pandemic but with a contract until 2024 and now Champions League football, the likelihood that Hinteregger will remain at SGE has increased significantly.
Hinteregger is a fan favourite at the Waldstadion and was integral in the Europa League cup triumph, despite missing the final against Rangers.
Since joining from Augsburg in 2019 for €9m, Hinteregger has played 137 games in all competitions.
