Spanish midfielder Gonzalo Villar could be leaving Roma again, according to Sky Sport via Marca.
Ligue 1 club Marseille are reportedly interested in the midfielder, who joined Getafe on loan in the winter transfer window.
His loan spell at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez in the 2021-22 campaign did not go to plan for the 24-year-old. He only played 10 times during his time in southern Madrid, scoring zero goals and providing one assist.
The relationship between Roma and Marseille is excellent and has been strengthened following the Cengiz Ünder and Pau López deals, as well as the talks for Justin Kluivert.
Italian club Monza have also been linked with a move for Villar.
Villar started his career with Spanish side Valencia, however, his career to date has been stop-start and he now wants consistency before he enters his prime.
He has represented Spain at U19, U21 and senior level. His current deal at Roma runs until 30 June 2024.
