SC Freiburg tendered an offer for Marseille’s Bamba Dieng to join their exciting offensive rotation, but the French club have firmly rejected this ‘low’ proposal, according to La Provence. Marseille require €15 million in order to sell their talented youngster and it seems unlikely that Freiburg will increase their previous offer.
Freiburg have been rumored with a move for Ingolstadt midfielder Merlin Röhl to end the summer window. But, after losing Ermedin Demirovic to Augsburg and now Lucas Höler to injury, they are open to another addition up front. Michael Gregoritsch has impressed as the starting no. 9 through Matchday 2.
In 25 league appearances last season, 22-year-old Dieng scored 7 goals and added 3 assists. Benfica and Premier League sides are now chasing after his signature.
