Former Milan and Inter striker Mario Balotelli has revealed that he is currently keen on staying in Italy despite offers from abroad.
Reports have recently stated Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters had recently rejected a chance to sign Balotelli due to issues around his track record.
The striker spoke to Sportmediaset, as relayed by LaLazioSiamoNoi recently, and he stated that he wants to stay in the country and he is currently in Brescia, where he is training alone and hoping that a new opportunity for him comes up at some point soon.
He told the outlet: “I’m fine, I’m calm. I have received offers from abroad, I still have, but my desire is to stay in Italy where for the moment I have not received anything. In Serie A? I hope so, I hope there is this opportunity, I’m ready.”
Balotelli last played in the Serie A during his time at Brescia and has, since then, had stints in Switzerland and Turkey and an opportunity to play in the Italian top flight hasn’t quite opened up for him since then, even though he had a stint at Monza in Serie B.
The Italian’s last stint came at Adana Demirspor, where he scored seven times.
