Fiorentina have identified Marcos Senesi as a potential replacement for Nikola Milenkovic, who is closing in on a move to Inter this summer.
Today’s edition of La Nazione (via Firenzeviola) discusses Fiorentina’s interest in Marcos Senesi. The report understands that Fiorentina have been keeping in touch with the Feyenoord defender for several months now.
And it is his compatriot and La Viola’s technical director Nicolàs Burdisso making all the efforts to keep the idea of signing the Argentinian professional alive. Though, everything currently depends on the future of Nikola Milenkovic.
As reported previously, Milenkovic has agreed to personal terms with Inter. But a transfer requires an agreement over a transfer fee between the two parties as the defender is bound to Fiorentina’s terms until June 2023.
If the Serbian leaves, Fiorentina could then decide to ramp up the effort to sign Senesi. The Italian club is expecting that they could land the 25-year-old South American this summer at a reasonable price, given that the player has 12 months left on his current contract at the Dutch club.
