Having worked his way back from a long-term injury, Sadio Mané says he’s “much better now”.
After spending several months on the sidelines, Sadio Mané made his long-awaited comeback for Bayern Munich in Sunday’s 3-0 Bundesliga victory over Union Berlin.
Speaking in an interview in today’s Sport Bild, the Senegalese star player gives an update on his fitness.
“I’m fine! I was out for a long time. But I’m much better now. It makes me happy to be back on the pitch with my teammates and to have the ball at my feet again. The club has taken very good care of me,” he said.
The 30-year-old is aiming to get back in top form before Bayern’s Champions League round of 16 second leg clash with Paris Saint-Germain on March 8.
“The first leg against PSG would came too soon for me, but the second leg in Munich was always a goal in my mind,” Mané said.
“I hope that I can get some minutes quickly and get back to my old form with a view to the second leg against PSG.”
