Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims that, after recent talks between player and club management, Sadio Mané would actually like to remain with the German record champions.

Fabrizio Romano reports that FC Bayern München have held talks with Senegalese winger Sadio Mané in order to sort through the 31-year-old’s difficult first season and come up with a roadmap for the future. Romano claims that, after said talks, Mané’s sale this summer is not a forgone conclusion. After a disappointing year sportingly and personally, both sides may be willing to turn over a new leaf.

Mané has scored 11 goals and chipped in a further seven assists in 36 appearances across all competitions for the Bavarians. A sale this summer seemed a certainty after Mané’s much-publicized locker-room altercation with teammate Leroy Sané. Romano nevertheless reports that a solid re4lationship with new FCB trainer Thomas Tuchel, who did come to Mané’s defense, might persuade the player to stay.
