Manchester United are pursuing a move for PSG attacking midfielder and Dutch international Xavi Simons (21), according to a report this Friday from L’Equipe. The outlet understands that FC Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, which have enquired the services of Simons last season as a Paris Saint-Germain loanee, are leading the race to sign the Barcelona youth product. The versatile midfielder, also able to play on the wings, is not expected to remain at PSG. The Dutch international has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich.
In addition to Manuel Ugarte (23), for which the Ligue 1 champions have set a €70m price tag, Simons would be the second PSG player monitored by Manchester United. The outlet understands that the Red Devils are working on a deal to bring Simons to Old Trafford for a year now. Last year, PSG reportedly rejected a €50m bid from the Premier League. PSG are expecting a bidding war between major European powerhouses to acquire the services of the Dutch international, who scored the opening goal in the Euro 2024 semi-final between The Netherlands and England.
