Kobbie Mainoo returned to first-team training for Manchester United ahead of Thursday’s visit to face Olympique Lyonnais in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League.
Mainoo has made the trip with his Manchester United teammates, although he is not expected to start against Lyon. Matthijs de Ligt, Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, and Ayden Heaven are all injured for the Premier League side, leaving Ruben Amorim short of options at the back on Thursday night. Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire, and Leny Yoro are expected to be aligned with the Red Devils expected to persist with their back three regardless of the absences.
Amad Diallo is the other major absentee for the Premier League side, who will be looking to take an advantage back to Old Trafford.
