Manchester United are firmly in the race to sign Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo.
However, the Red Devils face competition from Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur for the Ghana international, per Sky Sports.
Semenyo, who has been described as a ‘special player’ by manager Ruben Amorim, has enjoyed an excellent season.
He has started 15 Premier League matches for the Cherries this term, bagging seven goals and three assists. Semenyo scored in Monday’s thrilling 4-4 draw against United.
The forward, who is contracted with Bournemouth until 2030, has a £65 million release clause in his deal which becomes active on January 1.
Man City are believed to be the strongest contenders for the 25-year-old, but United and Tottenham are also firmly in the race for him.
The finances for a move could be an issue for United, who do not want to jeopardise their ability to spend in the summer by splashing £65m on one player in January.
The Red Devils invested heavily to bolster their attack last summer by signing Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.
Strengthening the midfield is currently their main priority, as Casemiro cannot be relied on to play every game and Manuel Ugarte has failed to make an impact since joining the club in 2024.
