Manchester United eyeing move for Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri

In their search for a striker to provide competition for Rasmus Højlund, who has yet to score in the Premier League, Manchester United have set their sights on Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri. United are looking to bolster their attack after their poor start to the season that has seen their attack misfiring and struggling for goals.

En-Nesyri is reportedly the English side’s favoured signing – according to AS – as they seem to have cooled their interest in Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy, who would supposedly prefer a move to Tottenham. It is thought that should United wish to pursue a deal, the transfer fee would be in the region of £16 million. While Sevilla would not want to lose their star striker, given their ongoing financial crisis, the club may choose to cash in on the 26-year-old.

En-Nesyri has been one of Sevilla’s bright sparks in an otherwise disappointing season. The Moroccan has scored a total of eight goals and provided two assists in all competitions for a side that currently sits 15th in the league. The signing of En-Nesyri would likely depend on whether Sevilla can find a suitable replacement in time as they look to steer themselves away from the relegation zone.
