Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle send scouts to watch Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha

Bild reports that Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle all sent scouts to watch Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha.

The scouts were said to be in attendance during Dortmund’s 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich last Saturday, where the midfield was one of Dortmund’s standout players. For the clubs to lure Nmecha back to England, they will likely have to stump up a large sum of money.

United is said to have previously shown an interest in the midfielder when he was at Wolfsburg.

After his first season at the Signal Iduna Park, Nmecha was on the verge of being a flop after Dortmund paid €30m for him and got very little back. However, under Nuri Şahin he is said to have found a new vein of form.

Nmecha has a history in England, the midfielder, after being born in Hamburg spent his formative years in Manchester where he was a part of the Manchester City academy before moving to Wolfsburg to reunite with his brother Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer. During his time in England, he was in the same school year group as Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong.
