Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Nigerian International striker Victor Osimhen in recent months.

The striker is currently on loan at Turkish club Galatasaray from Napoli. He has been excellent for them, and it is no surprise that talks are looking at him.

However, a report from GiveMeSport claims that Manchester United have abandoned their pursuit of the 26-year-old striker. The player wants lucrative wages to join the Premier League club, and he is not willing to lower his demands.

Manchester United need to improve multiple areas of their and it is no surprise that they have chosen to walk away from the Osimhen transfer. The report claims that they were willing to pay the £65 million asking price, but the wage demands have scuppered their transfer plans.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can bring in a quality striker in the summer. They have looked toothless in the attack this season, and they need to improve in that area of the pitch.

There is no doubt that Osimhen is a world-class striker, and he has been hailed as “a force of nature” by the Italian media in the past. The striker deserves to play at a high level and join one of the biggest clubs in the world, but he needs to lower his wage demands to get the deal done.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few weeks.

Osimhen does not have a future at Napoli, and he will need to sort out his long-term future soon. It seems unlikely that he will sign for Galatasaray on a permanent deal, and he might look to join a big club.
